House cleaning in Thornhill, on both sides of Yonge

Thornhill is split between Vaughan and Markham, and we clean homes on both sides of Yonge Street. A visit is the same on either side; the garbage rules for the bags afterwards are not.

Thornhill sits on both sides of Yonge Street

The City of Vaughan's page on Thornhill says the community is divided in half between Markham and Vaughan and runs along both sides of Yonge. It grew up around Benjamin Thorne's mills: he arrived in 1820, and when a post office opened in 1829 the village was officially named Thornhill.

The same city our company is based in. On this side, garbage day and the bylaws are Vaughan's.

East of Yonge

City of Markham

Markham writes its own garbage rules, starting with clear bags. It is one of the cities we work in.

We clean houses, townhouses and condos on either side. When you ask for a quote, tell us the street and the kind of home.

A regular visit, a deep clean, or the kitchen on its own

Most homes start with a regular home clean: the rooms you live in, dusted, wiped and vacuumed, once or every week or two. If a house has gone a while without one, a deep clean reaches the ledges, corners and door panels. Our page on kitchen deep cleaning goes through the burners and the hood filter in detail. We arrive with our own equipment and eco-friendly products.

  • Dust off furniture tops, blinds and window sills
  • Locks, door panels and ceiling fans wiped
  • Carpets and floors vacuumed
  • Toilet, sink and bathroom tiles cleaned
  • Oven, stovetop and range hood on a deep clean

After a big clean, what goes to the curb on each side

A deep clean or a move-out clean often comes after a sort-out, and the bags have to go somewhere. In Thornhill they go out under two different sets of city rules.

Half-used cleaners stay out of the bag

Vaughan's guide lists cleaners with household hazardous waste, which must never go in the garbage or down the drain. York Region's waste depots take them. On our visits we use the products we bring with us.

Questions from Thornhill homes

Do you come to the Markham side of Thornhill too?

Yes. We're based in Vaughan and work up to about 50 km around it, and Markham is one of the cities on that list. East or west of Yonge makes no difference to the visit.

Can our house be cleaned every week?

Yes. Pick a weekday and we come back on it each week, or every second week if that suits you better. Our page on regular home cleaning shows what is done on those visits.

When can we book?

At any hour, 7 days a week. Call or text, or fill in the quote form and we write back.
